How Many People Fit in a Photo Booth?

More than you’d think. Our open-air booths handle large groups easily, and our record is 30 people in a single photo. That’s not a typical session, but it tells you the ceiling isn’t the booth; it’s the geometry.

What actually decides how many people fit:

1. Camera distance. The farther the camera sits from the backdrop, the wider the frame. When we plan your setup, the space available (about 10x10 feet is our standard footprint; full space details here) sets how far back the camera can go, which sets the group size.
2. Staggering. Rows beat lines: tall in back, kneelers in front, faces stacked in layers. Our attendant arranges big groups so everyone lands in frame, which is one more thing an attended booth does that a drop-off setup can’t.
3. A little creativity. Corner peeks, piggybacks, the last-song wedding party pile: the biggest group shots of the night are usually the least organized and the most kept.

The everyday reality: couples, friend groups, and family clusters of 2 to 10 flow through all night without any special handling, and when the whole bridal party or the entire office team wants one frame, we make it work.
